Archiv verlassen und diese Seite im Standarddesign anzeigen : Cut options
I beg your pardon, but since my German is only at a beginner level, may be that you already answered this:
Instead of selecting the parts that you want to keep, wouldn't it be possible to select those that you want to throw away?

Why do you ask for such an option? Because you are used to the way VirtualDub handles this? I'd say most cutters - except VirtualDub - follow the mark-in/mark-out paradigm by keeping, not dropping, the marked region.

Well, since I have to edit several Mpeg, sometime I just need to perform one cut, and doing one selection is swifter than doing two.
I thought that, from a programmer point of view, it shouldn't be a big problem to implement the option.
At any rate the program works greatly anyway. Thanks.

I cannot quite follow you. When I have a recording with following scheme
commercial + content + commercial
I want to cut off the commercials. Now I mark beginning and end of the content and get what I want. Same way as Project X does.
The way you propose means that I have to mark leading commercial in + commercial out and afterwards trailing commercial in + commercial out. That means 4 cutpoints against 2 in the present way of handling.
I prefer the way it is! I have a test version of a software for my receiver which works your way. But I will never get used to it.
I understand you, but my work is a bit different, because I do not use Schnitt to edit movies etc. I have a lot of DVDs which are archives coming from conversions of S-VHS, which I demux for other people to use in Pinnacle Studio9 (converting AC3 to MP3 as well, because this dumb Studio doesen't accept AC3).
Sometime I just have to cut something in the middle of the file.
Thanks the same.
