6. there are many policies what to do when a TS packet is missing. Typically, the audio and video PS (Program Stream) packets span a lot of TS packets, especially the video PS packets can be quite long (Czech TV (Philips MPEG-2 encoder) uses several hundred of kilobytes for video PS packets, normally the video PS packets should be up to 64KB each). TFDISK at the moment drops the whole PS packet if any of the TS packets is missing. So if the errors are not bursty but evenly spread, the result might be completely useles, as virtually every long PS packet might have at least one TS packet missing. A better tactics would be to replace the packet with all data equal to FF (better for MPEG-2 than 00) and hoping that the MPEG-2 decoder will mask this problem somehow (as the builtin decoder in TF4000 does).
So, these are the facts. So far I have hoped that the problem occurs only on channels with weak signal and very high error rate. This posting seems to suggest that the problem might be worse. I would really welcome more information, which channels have caused problems, what was the signal quality like, what CAM was used etc. I will review the packet handling code once more to make sure that there are no problems there. I will also try to replace the missing data with FF to see what new that brings to the story.
The only temporary advice I can give is to save any valuable recordings in RAW format, test them that they play well after writing them to the TF disk with "tf put" and waiting that the problem (if on the TFDISK side) will be eventually resolved. You can always try to process the RAW files with other available tools which can process transport streams if they produce a better result. If so, please let me know which tool works the best.
There used to be a research project from one of the german universities to produce a software MPEG-2 decoder working with transport streams with potential errors (for radio network environments or something like that), but the project seemed to have died and the related files gone (except one broken Windows binary "player"), but maybe someone will dig better on the german language sites to find out if anything has survived. Using known tricks from this project may restore the recordings at the cost of decoding and encoding the video data, but with the errors masked out.[/equote:91e1256355]

Bin derzeit am internen Umbau des Tools, Du könntest es aber vorab mit dem File schon mal probieren.
Viele wesentl. Sachen sind da geändert.
Und du kannst das auch grob bereinigt nach MPG, VDR, PVA konvertieren (mit allen Streams drin).
Evtl. funktionieren die schon, oder der Demux von diesen aus.
müßtet mir aber mal mailen....

Mit DsJar wird ein Video-Stream erzeugt welcher sich nicht Abspielen läst (Invalid File Format), der AC3 Stream ist Top.
werde gleich mal die Beta Version testen.
Allerdings waren die Streams von BBdmux nicht Synchron.

mal umbennen in m2v und Öffenen mit ein DVD-Player (im File Mode) , dannach funktioniert auch MPV wieder mit dem Mediaplayer.
Ich habe heute mitag mal die 0.6 Version getested und ein 1a DVD Brennen können mit AC3 (Tolles Tool dein ds.jar)
